Giant Rubik

Rubik's powers as observed by me in all 12 epsiodes of Rubik the Amazing Cube: telekenesis, defiance of gravity, giving the gift of flight to his friends, changing size, changing the size of other people or things, shapeshifting, changing people into animals, changing one object into another, changing his voice, phasing through walls and solid objects, taking another person or animal through a wall with him, giving people or animals abilites they don't normally possess, generating light, generating heat, generating electricity, showing people future or concurrent events that are going on somewhere else, teleportation, time travel, detaching rearranging or duplicationg of his cubes to form things like bridges or stairs, taking people into fictional places, changing the weather, blowing up a cold stormy wind (very Superman-like), freezing stuff, melting stuff, wireless communication (generally used making phone calls to the police), making people invisible, general sense of danger or the presence of "bad men," drilling through solid rock... whew! I think that's all of them. Good thing Rubik has a conscience!

Rubik's age and origin are unknown. Neither is ever discussed in any Rubik episode, though his past is exploerd briefly in Rubik and the Mysterious Man. In Honolulu Rubik the mystery of Rubik's origin is mentioned but never really pursued. It seems that none of Rubik's friends ever thoguht to simply ask Rubik about himself.

Rubik the Armless

Rubik has no arms. I guess since he can change his shape, he might have just made himself some, but he seems to be pretty content without arms. There was a rumor on some other website that Rubik is a double amputee, but I can assure you, it's not true.

Rubik comes feet optional. In addition to having no ams, sometiems Rubik also chooses to have no feet either. He's actually a little clumsy on his little short legs, so he spends most of his time hovering in the air. He usually only has legs when he lands and feels like walking around. When Rubik doesn't need his legs he just retracts them like landing gear.

Rubik tries party food

Rubik is a voracious eater. When he gets near food he pretty much eats it, in as few bites as possible. Rubik loves food that gives him a lot of energy fast because his powers require... well... a lot of energy.

Not only is Rubik's skin blue, his tongue is blue too - dark blue, pretty much the same color as his eyes. It's not certain if this is normal cube pigmentation.

Rubik does not have a standard Rubik's Cube color scheme. His faces are white opposite green, red opposite blue, and yellow opposite orange - with red, yellow, blue and orange clockwise around white. In an upright position, his red face is on top (UP), blue on bottom (DOWN) and white in front. Why? Probably just an aesthetic choice by animators.

The Mysterious Man

Rubik belongs to whomever has last solved him. Apparently Rubik is very happy to belong to Carlos, Reynaldo and Lisa, since they have not enslaved him or imprisoned him in his own cube as his most recnet owner did. Also, the gypsy man driving the cart in the show's title sequence is not the same former owner which Rubik meets in Rubik and the Mysterious Man. Most websites list these guys as one in the same and list The Magician (aka The Mysterious Man) as the main villain in the show, when actually he only appears in one episode.
